I recently found on Google book search GEDENKBLATTER AUS DER KRIEGSGESCHICHTE DER K K OESTERREICHISCHEN ARMEE from 1880. There are 2 volumes, one for infantry,
one for cavalry. I do not speak or read German, but it seems to give a brief history of each regiment. Hope this is a help to someone.
