			<description><![CDATA[ According to an award request document my relative saw action on 9.8.1915 near Kolanki with IR87. Does anyone know where this action might have taken place? I assume at a place somewhere in or near present day Poland. I can't find Kolanki on any maps. The recommending unit is *** 1:8 ***. Could this be 1st platoon, 8th Field Company, IR87? Two months later I know he was in 8th Feldkomp (see below).<br><br>The recommending commander for another award during action on 18.10-5.11.1915 is shown... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I know that my Polish grandfather (Karol Kuras) was in the Austrian Hungarian army from Nov 1915 to Oct 1918. He was in the 18th Regiment of Infantry or riflemen. I presume its the former but the Polish term I have is &quot;strzelcow&quot; which means riflemen. He was on the Russian front from 14 July 1916  to 10th August 1917 and then on the Italian front from 8th Jan 1918 to 22nd December 1918 (when he caught the flu and on recovery joined the newly independant Polish 37th Infantry... ]]></description>
