I think they mean Regiment 83 and 2nd Landesschutz Btl (or 2nd Landesstrum Btl) respectively. I'm not particularly comfortable with any of these translations. Anyone out there who can help?

is it correct that the later Kriegsminister Ferdinand v. Bauer was first commander of Hermannstadt in Siebenburgen and ennobled by being rewarded the OEK III. KLass? I have a relative of the kurhessian General v. Bauer who thinks he might be connected to bhis family, but I dont think so....
