36. Infantry-Regiment Kollowrath
42. Infantry-Regiment Herzog Wellington

Do you have any infos about these regiments, did they joined battles or something like this?

Does anybody has any information about the military districts of the Habsburg Monarchy from 1792-1848?

Were there any changes in borders of those districts during that time?

Kurhessian Army

As most of the period of the kurhessian Army is the same as the era of this forum (1803-1866) I would like again to try and look for persons who have expertise on the subject/who came across the subject/who have publications on the subject.

Any info or help in my attempt to build a website on the matter would be very much appreciated

As both of these cavalry officers where active in the period >1848, I am putting my topic here as well.

Eduard Rppel(l), was a royal westfalian Kriegsschuler in 1812 and transferred (together with the rest of his Regiment) to the austrians in the late 1813. A biography of a related kurhessian Colonel by the name of Normann says that he was in austrian GARDE-CAVALRY. His son Karl Rppel(l) also was an austrian cavalry officer.

I am looking for these persons because I would like...

Prior to Erzherzog Karl's reforms around 1808, a large proportion of Austrian artillery was parcelled out as 'regimental' or 'battalion' guns. These were crewed by infantrymen supported by trained artillerists. However, every account I have read differs with respect to the allocation of these weapons, e.g. number and weight of guns. I had hoped the recent Osprey Vanguard title would clear up the matter, but it has only added another version. I am fully aware that the allocation varied...
