Frst Leopold von Anhalt-Dessau "der alte Dessauer" und sptere preuischer Generalfeldmarschall erhielt von Kaiser Leopold am 05.01.1688 das Infanterie-Regiment Dieppenthal verliehen.
Im Jahre 1700 gab er nach WREDE dieses Regiment wieder ab.
